The book, ‘Islands, Jeju’ records Wayne Levin’s short visit to Jeju Island in South Korea during his stay in Seoul for a group show at Datz Museum of Art in 2014. For Levin, who had been photographing the sceneries of the island both above and underwater for years in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, Jeju Island was strange yet familiar. Fifteen photographs of Jeju Island, captured by a stranger from another island, are put together as a portfolio book. The publication coincides with the exhibition of the same title at Datz Museum of Art in the Fall of 2015.
